Is there a way for you to know that the person you are speaking with is a drug addict or not? Of course, no one can say this for sure, but that does not mean that the drug addicts of the world can rejoice because they will never be brought out into the open.

Actually, there are some very potent signs and signals that can tell you the person may be into a drug addiction. Most people that are hooked to drugs will not be able to speak coherently. They will slur a lot, repeat words, speak in sudden bursts and will suddenly remember a part of the conversation that was done somewhere in the past and speak about it. Such uncanny things can happen under a drug influence.

You will notice that people who are into drug addiction will not take much care of their bodies. Their hair may be unkempt, eyes may be red, and they will look a lot disheveled than they actually are. Drug abuse takes a toll on the person’s physical appearance and wellbeing.

You will also notice a lot of mood swings in the person. The person will have angry bursts of anger, which may even border on violent attacks. Then they would suddenly go into the period of depression. If the person’s drug addiction is gone far enough, it is very difficult to treat him or her without admitting them to a drug rehab. In a rehab, the body is detoxified of all drugs and counseled to live healthy in a drug free manner.
