The average stay at a residential rehab facility runs around a few thousand dollars, and for certain types of treatment the figure can go much, much higher. There are various resources available to help people pay for an addiction center and the necessary help to begin a new life.

Most health insurance plans will cover at least part of the expenses of rehabilitation. Make a phone call to find out exactly what is covered. Make sure there are no hidden costs or extra fees, and ask if there’s a time limit on treatment.

Most rehab facilities will allow patients to make payments for treatment if they can’t afford the entire amount at one time. Some offer types of financial to people who meet certain requirements. Information will need to be requested from each facility.

Individuals may be able to get drug and alcohol addiction help from their school or workplace.
